Question 1

What is Go and what does it do?

Accepted Answer

Go is a free URL shortener and QR code generator. It turns long web addresses into short, shareable links and creates scannable QR codes that point to any destination you choose.

Question 2

Do my short links ever expire?

Accepted Answer

No. Once a short link is created it stays active and keeps redirecting to your destination. Only the number of new links you can create each month is limited.

Question 3

How do I create a short link?

Accepted Answer

Paste your long URL into the shortener on the homepage and click the button. Go instantly generates a short link you can copy and share anywhere.

Question 4

Do I need an account to use Go?

Accepted Answer

You need a free account to create and manage your short links and QR codes. You can sign up with your email or with Google or X in a few seconds.

Question 5

How do I sign up?

Accepted Answer

Click Sign up and register with your email address, or continue with Google or X. Email signups receive a confirmation link to verify the address before creating links.

Question 6

Why do I have to verify my email?

Accepted Answer

Email verification keeps the service free of spam and abuse, which lets us keep Go free for everyone. Just click the link in the confirmation email to activate your account.

Question 7

Can I sign in with Google or X?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Go supports one-click sign-in with both Google and X (Twitter). OAuth accounts are ready to use immediately with no separate email verification step.

Question 8

Can I use Go short links on social media and in print?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Short links are ideal for character-limited social posts, and QR codes make them work on any printed surface, from flyers to product packaging.
